Unit Planning

Planning a unit involves a lot of thought and effort. In order to be most efficient, it helps to write out an organized plan of what the unit will entail. Here are some questions worth looking at prior to mapping out a unit:

 

 What is the unit’s topic/theme?

 Why should this topic/theme be studied?

What competencies will be addressed?

 How and where does assessment and evaluation of student progress fit in?

 What resources can help develop the unit to its fullest?
