The use of a computer for listening exercises often provides not only sound, but also visual input providing students with more contextual clues. Students interacting with a computer are also using motor skills.  Students are also allowed more control over their own learning process as they make the decisions when to repeat questions, exercises and sequences based on their own progress.

Use of the computer in the classroom environment allows students to self-pace themsevles. Especially in the field of pronunciation, students can employ a computer to record themselves to compare their pronunciation to a target pronunciation.

Finally, teachers can quickly access documents addressing individual student needs. Using these materials, the teacher can often provide content addressing specific student needs, thereby improving motivation and effectiveness.

No computers, no problem. Nowadays, in Korea, there is about 97% coverage of smart devices so students can use their smart phones or tablets in the classroom

SeaMonkey is an accessible program used for the creation of websites. Along with Weebly (the program used to make this website) SeaMonkey allows for students to create websites free of charge in an easy, creative manner. Students have full control over the layout of their websites and use this type of project to express themselves and their individual ideas - I feel that it is extremely important to give young students a voice, where they feel comfortable sharing and motivated to create something representative of themselves.

Windows Movie Maker allows for students to create movies that involve background music, several features and editing. When students are given the creative freedom to produce movies in class, they feel empowered while they are given the opportunity to work with cameras and editing software. With this responsibility, students learn to work as a team, make decisions and think critically. Moreover, the program is easy to use and while the teacher guides students in a step-by-step manner, students will still have the opportunity to explore with the program and come up with completely separate, meaningful productions.
